Don't need to boot your computer to install kali Linux
VirtualBox
This guide is about virtualizing Kali Linux inside of VirtualBox, allowing you to have a Kali VM. This is a great way to use Kali, as it is completely separate from the host, allows you to interact with other VMs (as well as the host machine and other machines on the network), and allows you to revert to snapshots.
Step 1. select “New”
Step 2. For the “Type”, we set it as Linux. For the “Version”, we are going to be using the x64 desktop image, so we are going to select Debian (64-bit).
Step 3. Select “Memory size” (2048 MB is recommended for normal usage)
Step 4. Select the option to create a virtual hard disk now and then click on the create button.
Step 5. We select VDI (VirtualBox Disk Image) (and its the default option)
Step 6. Now select the type of Physical Hard Disk Storage. (Dynamically Allocated is recommended for general purposes)
Step 7. we go with the default option of Dynamically allocated.
Step 8. Now we click on “Settings”, to customize the VM.
Step 8. We make sure to set “Shared Clipboard” to bidirectional, as well as “Drag’n’Drop” to bidirectional.
Step 8. Now click on the Browse icon located just above the cancel button and select your downloaded Kali Linux ISO file and then click on the start button.
